What is the best Indian River Lagoon Scenic Tour?

The 2 & 3 hour (the 4 hour sail is only booked in the summer months) Scenic Sail & Dolphin Watch goes through a part of the Indian River Lagoon which is referred to as the “Narrows of Vero”. This is a very popular area for bottle nose dolphins, manatees and home to a wide variety of beautiful birds. Additionally, Vero Beach’s most luxurious waterfront homes can be viewed. These are the best and most popular Scenic Tours. If you would like to enjoy Sunset with your Scenic Tour we would go out 2 or 3 hours prior to Sunset.

May we go swimming?

Yes, during June, July, August & September you may book 4 hours

which allows us time to get to Hole In The Wall Island to anchor.

This is a manatee area so there are no boat wakes which makes for

a very pleasant and calm anchorage. Additionally,

Moonraker has swim steps that lead right into the water

and when you are done swimming there is a hot and cold

water shower located right on the swim steps.   :-)

moving around to get out of the sun or

What type of clothing should I bring?

The weather can start off cool in the morning then warm up significantly by 1:00pm. In the evening the weather will begin to cool off again. Therefore, it is recommended that you bring along additional clothing for full day and sunset cruises.

Are food and beverages provided?

A complimentary cooler with ice, water and sodas are provided with every cruise. Guests are welcome to bring their own beer, wine, or alcoholic beverages as well as appetizers and food and our crew will make your drinks, pour your wine and serve the food you bring aboard.. A large cooler with ice, glasses (wine, champagne & drinking), plates, dining utensils etc. are provided on board and the crew does the dishes.  For a complete listing of food and beverage options please go to the top of the page and click on  "About" then click on "food & beverages".

May we BBQ?

Yes, (May through September Moonraker has

a permanently installed propane grill. You are

welcome to use the grill or ask Captain Bruce and

he will be happy to manage the on board grill for

you. We must anchor to use the grill so a 4 hour

minimum cruise is required to grill.

May we go to the ocean?

All Moonraker Sailing is done on the Indian River Lagoon for 2 to 6 hours.

This doesn't allow time to go to the ocean.

May we wear shoes on deck?

Shoes can cause unnecessary damage to the boats deck. A basket is provided on the dock to collect shoes prior to boarding and is then secured on board. If you have a foot problem requiring shoes, or the weather is cool, then soft-soled non- marring shoes can be worn.

May we bring our dog?

Captain Bruce loves dogs.  As a matter of fact, he has had a few himself..... However, for insurance reasons the puppy dogs and other animals need to stay home for the few hours you are aboard Moonraker.

Do you have another question?

Captain Bruce has been chartering Moonraker in Vero Beach, FL for over 15 years. Hopefully your question was answered but if not, just send him a text: 772-696-2941 or an email: or give him a call.
